Music
My yoga practice taught me how to sing…
As a youth, I longed to learn how to play the guitar. When I finally had the time and space, in community college, I signed up for guitar class and my love for music blossomed.
My first recordings came from a practice of morning sadhana. Sadhana (pronounced sah-dnuh) means spiritual practice and in the kundalini yoga tradition, is an essential daily practice.
The Aquarian Sadhana practice was said to help usher in the Aquarian age, the one we are in now, and consists of the recitation of seven mantras varying in length, yet specific in order.
My second record, Power in Peace, came from a daily practice of the mantra Hummee Hum Brahm Hum, 11 minutes a day, for 18 months. It means, we are we, we are God.
By the time I recorded my third record, I wanted support in the form of a producer. The Essence was produced by Anthony Molina and represents the intersections of R&B and mantra.
Though it’s been a while since I’ve released music, rest assured I am still writing, playing, and singing. When the time is right, more music will be shared.
